In this research fractal properties of Zagros tectonic zone have been analyzed by utilizing Wavelet Transform Modulus Maxima method. Results obtained show precious efficiency of wavelet transform on fractal analysis of topography based on digital elevation model. According to the results the land surface topography is self-similar and it has fractal properties. Meanwhile the self-similar behavior is not constant ant it varies in different parts of the zone.
