ABSTRACT:

Low temperature is one of the most important abiotic factors limiting growth, development, and distribution of plants. This study investigated the effects low temperature 15C on two cultivar maize (Zea Mays L. S. C. 704 and 206). Experiments show that MDA and other aldehydes accumulate under cold. Other parameters such as proline and photosynthetic pigments and solution sugars increased under cold stress at two cultivar. The Zea Mays L. S. C. 206 to compare C.704 shows that has protective mechanisms that supported it under cold stress.
